About IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released an employment notification for the engagement of 58 Technician and Trade Apprentices at Bongaigaon Refinery under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules, 1992, as amended.

Eligible candidates can apply for apprenticeship training in various disciplines including Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant), Boiler and Instrumentation.

The online application process starts on 28 September 2026 and the last date to submit the application is 18 October 2026.

Selection Process

There will be no written examination for the Apprentice recruitment.

Selection will be based on merit, considering the overall percentage of marks obtained in all subjects across all years/semesters of the required qualifying examination.

Merit Selection Rules

• Candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time will be given preference.
• In case of a tie, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
• If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher Matriculation marks will get preference.
• PwBD candidates who received relaxation in qualifying marks will be considered against reserved seats based on merit within their category.
• Final engagement will depend on the availability of seats and suitability of candidates.
• Management may leave seats vacant if suitable or sufficient candidates are not available.
