Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Details
Educational Qualification	(i) Passed HSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institution.(ii) Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in relevant trade.(iii) 1-year Industrial/Teaching experience desirable.
Age Limit	18 – 40 years as on 01.01.2025. (Born not earlier than 31.12.1984 and not later than 01.01.2007)
Age Relaxation	SC/STP/STH – 5 yearsOBC/MOBC – 3 yearsEx-Servicemen – 2 yearsPWD – 10 years
Citizenship	Must be an Indian Citizen and registered in Employment Exchange of Assam.

Selection Procedure

The selection will be conducted in two phases:

Phase I – Written Test

• Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 Hours
• No negative marking
• Subjects:

Phase II – Skill Test

• Candidates in 1:4 ratio (category-wise) will be shortlisted from the written test.
• Skill Test Marks: 50 (trade-specific).
• Document verification will be conducted before Skill Test.

Final Merit List: Based on marks in Written Test + Skill Test.

• Candidates must apply online only through the prescribed form available at dect.assam.gov.in.
• No other mode of application will be accepted.

Documents to be Uploaded

Applicants are required to upload the following documents while filling the online form:

• Latest passport size photograph
• HSLC Admit Card/ HSLC Pass Certificate
• Qualifying Examination Certificate and Marksheet
• Scanned signature
• Valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
• Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority (for reserved category candidates)
• Declaration in Form “A” under rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019
• Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate issued by Competent Authority (if applicable)
• Copy of personal ID (Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/Driving License/Bank Passbook first page)

Note:

• Hard copies of application forms, registration slips, or any other documents are not required to be sent to the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam.
• Since applications are submitted online, employed candidates do not need to apply through proper channel. However, they must intimate their appointing authorities in writing about their application.
• The responsibility of granting permission to appear in the Written Test or to join service after selection rests entirely with the appointing authority of the concerned department. The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam will not be responsible if permission is denied.
