The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the JICA assisted Assam State Aquaculture Promotion and Livelihood Improvement (ASAPALI) Project, Department of Fisheries, Govt. of Assam, invites applications for purely contractual positions.
Candidates must fill the prescribed Application Form (position-wise) (typing in computer, English only), attach latest CV, and email the complete set to [email protected] on or before 12 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
1) Aquaculture Specialist (PMU) — 1 Post
- Education: PG/Graduate Degree in Fisheries from ICAR recognized universities
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in aquaculture field (Public/Private/EAP)
2) Procurement Specialist (PMU) — 1 Post
- Education (minimum): PG in Fisheries / Agricultural Economics / MBA (Agri & allied) / Master Degree OR Graduate Engineer (any discipline) from Govt. recognized institute
- Must be fully trained in procurement norms of JICA/ADB/World Bank or similar funding agency
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in procurement management, including minimum 4 years in World Bank/ADB/JICA or similar EAP
- Preference: Hands-on e-procurement (Govt), JICA procurement experience advantage
3) Junior Project Engineer (PMU) — 1 Post
- Education: Graduate in Civil/Architectural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in construction projects including building planning, design; AutoCAD & Autodesk (2D/3D); Public/Private/EAP projects
4) DX Assistant (PMU) — 1 Post
- Education: Graduate/PG Diploma in IT / CS / related
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in digital transformation projects (info-sharing platforms etc.)
Preference: 1 year in EAP/National Flagship program - Computer skills: Internet, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, data analysis; assist DX Expert
5) Supporting Staff (Computer Assistant) (PMU) — 1 Post
- Education: Graduate (any discipline) + minimum 6 months certificate course in IT/CS/related
- Experience: Not mandatory, but preferred (Govt/Semi-govt/Private)
- Computer skills: Internet, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint; data analysis support
- Language: English reading/writing; local language preferred
6) Fishery Expert (DPMU) — 2 Posts
- Education: B.F.Sc from ICAR recognized institutions
- Experience (preference): 5 years in inland aquaculture production; minimum 2 years in EAPs (World Bank/JICA/ADB etc.) preferred
- Computer skills: Internet, MS Office; support DPO-cum-DFDO
7) Account and MIS Consultant (DPMU) — 1 Post
- Education: B.Com / BBA (Accounting/Finance) / Bachelor of Accounting
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in audit & accounts + Tally etc., including minimum 2 years with EAP (World Bank/JICA/ADB etc.)
- Computer skills: Internet, MS Office; support DPO-cum-DFDO
8) Supporting Staff (Computer Assistant) (DPMU) — 1 Post
- Education: Graduate + 6 months IT/CS/related certificate
- Experience: Not mandatory; preferred 1 year in Govt/Semi-govt/Private
- Computer skills: Internet, MS Office; data analysis support
- Language: English reading/writing; local language preferred
