About the Post

Sonapur College (Autonomous), located in Sonapur, Kamrup (Metro), Assam, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Principal.

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Details
Educational Qualification	A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale from a recognized university.
Ph.D. Requirement	Must possess a Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied discipline(s) from a recognized university.
Experience	Must be a Professor/Associate Professor with at least 15 years of teaching/research experience in universities/colleges or other higher education institutions.
API Score	Must have a minimum API score based on PBAS as per UGC Regulations (Appendix-I).
Research Publications	At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Research Score	Minimum 110 research scores as per Appendix-II, Table-2 of UGC Guidelines 2018.
Relaxation	5% relaxation in marks at Master’s Degree level for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates.
Age Limit	Upper age limit is 55 years as on 1 January 2025.
Tenure	Term of appointment shall be 5 years as per Government guidelines.

   • Demand Draft of ₹5,000/- (in favour of Principal, Sonapur College, payable at UCO Bank, Sonapur Branch)
