About the Post
The CSIR – North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat, Assam invites applications from eligible retired employees of CSIR / Central Autonomous bodies / Central Government / PSUs for engagement as Assistant Medical Officer / Medical Officer on a contractual basis.
The selected candidate will attend patients at the CSIR-NEIST Clinical Centre and perform duties as assigned by the Director. This is a short-term engagement initially for six months or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.

Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend patients at CSIR-NEIST Clinical Centre as per duty roster issued by Competent Authority.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director, CSIR-NEIST.
- Adhere to all official rules, including the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- Maintain professional integrity and avoid conflict of interest.
