About the Post

Cotton University, Panbazar, Guwahati (Assam), a public state university established in 1901, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Assistant (Non-Teaching) posts. All Indian nationals fulfilling eligibility criteria may apply online as per the prescribed format.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university.
• Preferable:
  • Working experience in government offices/reputed institutions
  • Proficiency in English and Assamese (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Computer knowledge and ability to multitask.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit as per Government of Assam O.M. No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2nd September 2020, with age calculated as on 01 July 2025.
• Only admit card/pass certificate of HSLC/HS or equivalent will be accepted for date of birth proof.

Pay Scale

Post	Pay Scale
Junior Assistant	Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000 + Grade Pay Rs.8,700

Plus allowances as admissible under university/government rules.

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened for eligibility.
• Eligible candidates may be called for written test and/or skill test.
• A limited number of candidates will be shortlisted; mere fulfillment of minimum criteria does not guarantee a call for tests.
