Citizenship & Residency
- Must be an Indian citizen (Articles 5–8).
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam – valid PRC or Employment Exchange certificate required.
Educational Qualification
- Required: 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized government institute.
- Distance/part-time diplomas are not accepted.
Age Limit (as on 01‑01‑2025)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
- Relaxations:
- +5 years for SC/ST
- +3 years for OBC/MOBC/Tea Tribes/Adivasi
- Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years (additional relaxations: +3 for OBC, +5 for SC/ST)
- PwBD: additional 10 years irrespective of category
