The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 25,487 vacancies for the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).

This is a massive recruitment drive for 10th-pass candidates. The selection process involves a Computer Based Examination (CBE), followed by Physical Tests and Medical Examinations. Interested candidates must apply online through the official new SSC website.

How to Apply?

Candidates must apply online through the new official website ssc.gov.in. Follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

  • Visit the official website.
  • If you have not registered on the new website, click on “Login or Register” > “Register Now”.
  • Note: Old OTR (from ssc.nic.in) is not valid. You must create a new OTR.
  • Fill in your personal details, Aadhaar number, and contact information.
  • Upload your photograph and signature.

Step 2: Fill Online Application

  • Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  • Go to the “Live Examinations” tab and click on “Apply” for “Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2025”.
  • Your basic details will be auto-filled from OTR.
  • Select your State of Domicile and District of Domicile (Must match your PRC/Domicile Certificate).
  • Give your preference of Exam Centres.
  • Give your preference of CAPFs/Organizations (BSF, CISF, CRPF, etc.) in order of priority (A, B, C, D, E, F, H).

Step 3: Uploading Documents

  • Live Photograph: The application module requires capturing a Live Photo via webcam/mobile app. Ensure good lighting and a plain background.
  • Signature: Upload a scanned image of your signature (10 to 20 KB in JPEG format).

Step 4: Fee Payment

  • Pay the application fee of ₹ 100/- (if applicable).
  • Payment Mode: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit Cards.
  • Exemption: Women, SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Step 5: Submission

  • Preview your application carefully.
  • Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
  • Correction Window: A window for corrections will be open from 08/01/2026 to 10/01/2026.

What is the qualification required for SSC GD 2026?

Candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University as on 01-01-2026.

Is my old OTR from ssc.nic.in valid?

No. Candidates must create a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website ssc.gov.in. The old OTR is not valid for this recruitment.

What is the application fee?

₹ 100/- for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates. Women, SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the fee.

Can I change my State of Domicile later?

No. Candidates must be very careful while filling the Domicile State/District. Domicile/PRC is a mandatory requirement, and you must possess a valid certificate for the state you apply from.

What is the age limit?

18 to 23 years as on 01-01-2026. Candidates must be born between 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008.

Is there a correction window for the application form?

Yes. The “Window for Application Form Correction” will be available from 08-01-2026 to 10-01-2026. You may have to pay correction charges.

Is there a physical test?

Yes. Qualifying the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory after clearing the Computer Based Exam.

Can NCC certificate holders get bonus marks?

Yes. NCC Certificate holders (C, B, and A certificates) are eligible for incentive/bonus marks in the examination.

What ID proof is required for the exam?

You must carry the Admit Card and an original valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, etc.) having the same Date of Birth as printed on the Admit Card.

Can I apply for multiple forces?

You submit one application where you give your preference order for all the forces (BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF). Allocation is done based on merit and preference.
