About the Post
State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC), TET, Government of Assam has released the official notification of Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels in Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar mediums.
As per the latest notification, the Special Assam TET 2026 examination will be held on 28th June 2026 and candidates can download their admit cards from 12th June 2026 onwards. Candidates who qualify the TET examination will become eligible to participate in future teacher recruitment processes in elementary schools of Assam subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.

Relaxation
A relaxation of 5% in academic marks is available for SC, ST, OBC, MOBC and PwD candidates. The disability percentage for PwD candidates must be at least 40%.
