About the Recruitment 2026

The Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA), under the Science & Technology Department, Government of Assam, has invited eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for the post of Project Associate on a purely contractual basis.

The recruitment is being conducted for the project titled “Solarisation of rural piped water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission, joint collaboration of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA) and UNICEF.”

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The selected Project Associate will be responsible for project management, field-level execution, monitoring, coordination, data management and stakeholder engagement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Travel to project sites to steer field-level execution workflows from baseline survey to final implementation.
• Execute on-site monitoring of existing solar-based PWSS to optimize performance parameters and ensure alignment with standard frameworks.
• Monitor and support field-level execution and stakeholder coordination for the solarisation project.
• Support pilot assessment and on-ground work for rural water supply schemes.
• Manage, coordinate and establish communication with:
  • Public Health & Engineering Department (PHED) district offices
  • Block Offices
  • Gram Panchayats
  • Communities
  • Institutions
• Support monitoring of existing solar-based PWSS and liaise with PHED, UNICEF and AEDA for review updates.
• Support pilot testing and field data collection for developing the scheme assessment tool.
• Coordinate and help facilitate Training of Trainers.
• Compile and validate field data.
• Support preparation of training and progress reports.
• Undertake programme coordination, data management, government liaison, stakeholder engagement and documentation activities.
