Assam Skill University (ASU), Mangaldai, a State University established under Assam Act No. IX of 2020 and recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty in the Department of Applied Management.

The engagement is purely temporary. ASU is conducting a Walk-in Interview for 1 Guest Faculty position in Logistics and Supply Chain.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the Guest Faculty – Logistics and Supply Chain position must fulfill the following qualification requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
2. A Master’s Degree (Regular Full Time) in any of the following:
   • Business Administration
   • PGDM
   • C.A.
   • ICWA
   • M.Com.
3. The Master’s qualification must be with First Class or equivalent.

NET / SLET / SET / Ph.D. Requirement

In addition to the above qualification, candidates must have cleared:

• UGC NET, or
• CSIR NET, or
• A similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET, or
• Be awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations.

Exemption for Certain Ph.D. Candidates

Candidates who were registered for a Ph.D. programme before 11 July 2009 may be exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement subject to fulfillment of the conditions specified in the notification, including:

• Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode.
• Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
• Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
• At least two research papers published from the Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
• At least two papers presented based on the Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored, funded or supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or a similar agency.

NET/SLET/SET Exemption for Certain Disciplines

NET/SLET/SET will also not be required for Master’s programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC.

Important Note

If no suitable candidate with NET qualification is available, candidates having relevant industry or field experience without NET qualification may also be considered.

Important Instructions

• The decision of the Competent Authority regarding eligibility, selection and conduct of the interview will be final and binding.
• Candidates must be in sound health and may be required to undergo a medical examination if selected.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Candidates should regularly visit the University website for updates, corrigenda or addenda.
• No separate intimation will necessarily be issued for such updates.
• Any dispute arising from the engagement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court, Guwahati.
