About NIT Agartala Recruitment 2026

The National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala), an Institute of National Importance, has invited applications from eligible and experienced professionals for engagement to the post of Professor of Practice.

The engagement is intended to bring experienced professionals from industry, R&D organizations, professional fields, Government departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) into the academic environment of the Institute. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Professor of Practice position must fulfill the prescribed educational qualification and professional experience requirements.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in the related discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
• Post-Graduate degree in the related discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

Ph.D. Qualification

• A Ph.D. degree is desirable but not mandatory.

Professional Background

Candidates must be superannuated scientists, engineers, professionals and managers/executives.

Candidates should also be skilled professionals with significant domain knowledge in their respective fields.

Important Restriction

The Professor of Practice position is not open to candidates belonging to the teaching profession, whether serving or retired.
