- Payment: Prepare a Demand Draft (DD) in favor of “Indian Institute of Mass Communication” payable at New Delhi.
- Group A: Rs. 1500 (UR/OBC), Rs. 750 (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD).
- Group B: Rs. 1000 (UR/OBC), Rs. 500 (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD).
- Group C: Rs. 500 (UR/OBC), Rs. 250 (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD).
- Submission: Submit the online form.
- Hard Copy: Take a printout of the online application. Attach the Original Demand Draft, self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is sending the hard copy mandatory?
Yes. The application process is not complete without the hard copy. It must reach IIMC New Delhi by 19.01.2026 via Speed Post or Registered Post.
How do I pay the application fee?
The fee must be paid via Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Indian Institute of Mass Communication” payable at New Delhi.3
Can freshers apply for the UDC post?
No. The UDC post requires a Bachelor’s degree and Two years of experience as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) or equivalent in a relevant organization.
Is there an interview for Group B and C posts?
No. Selection for Group B and C posts is based on the Written Test followed by a Skill Test. Only Group A posts have an Interview round.
Can I apply for more than one post?
Yes, but you must verify eligibility for each. Separate applications and fees may be required as per standard norms (refer to the full notification for specific multi-application rules).
What is the retirement age for these posts?
The retirement age is 60 years (except for deputation posts where it is 60 or the end of tenure).
Is there a typing test for UDC and Stenographer?
Yes. UDC: English @ 35 wpm OR Hindi @ 30 wpm. Stenographer: Dictation 10 min @ 80 wpm; Transcription (Eng 50 min / Hindi 65 min); Typing (Eng 35 wpm / Hindi 30 wpm).
Are there reserved posts for PwD candidates?

Which courier service should I use for the hard copy?
