Educational & Experience Requirements (Essential)

Any one of the following pathways must be fulfilled:

Pathway 1 – Academic Experience

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade
  • 15 years experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 & above
  • OR 8 years experience in Academic Level 12 & above including Associate Professor
  • Experience in educational administration is required

Pathway 2 – Administrative Experience

  • 15 years administrative experience
  • Minimum 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post
  • Experience must be from:
    • Institutes of Eminence
    • Central/State Universities
    • Research Institutes
    • Govt. Departments
    • Autonomous Organisations
    • Multinational Companies
    • PSUs / Govt. Undertakings

Pathway 3 – Government/Research Administration

  • 15 years comparable experience in
    • State/Central Government Administration
    • Financial administrative expertise
    • Research establishments
    • Higher education institutions

Domain Expertise / Key Responsibilities

  • Financial management, planning & budgeting
  • Accounting systems and audit compliance
  • Procurement, tendering, taxation, statutory laws
  • Investment & fund management
  • Monitoring of grants & research project finances
  • Payroll, benefits, accounts & record keeping
  • Leadership & advisory role in financial governance
  • ERP/IT-based financial systems
  • Government liaison and institutional coordination
