Reservation & PwBD Functional Requirements
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD is as per Government of India rules. PwBD reservation is horizontal (within categories).
- PwBD candidates must ensure they meet the functional requirements of the post (detailed tables in raw content).
- PwBD candidates must produce Certificates in prescribed PERFORMA(s) at time of document verification.

Selection Procedure
A. For posts with Interview (e.g., AC/Principal/PGT/TGT/PRT/Administrative/Finance/AE/Translator and others):
- Tier-1: Preliminary (OMR/Objective) — screening. Shortlist 1:10 for Tier-2 (per category).
- Tier-2: Subject Knowledge Examination (Objective + Descriptive). Shortlist 1:3 for Interview (per category).
- Interview (Personal Interaction): Marks as specified. Merit list prepared with weighted marks: Tier-2 (85%) + Interview (15%) for posts where weightage applies. (Interview marks = 100; weightage applied accordingly per notification.)
- Allocation to KVS/NVS and post is done by merit and preference link after Tier-II.
B. For posts with Skill Test (e.g., Steno, JSA):
- Tier-1 → Tier-2 → Skill Test (for posts where skill test is mandated). Shortlisting for Skill Test may be 1:5 relative to vacancies.
- Must qualify Skill Test; final merit based on Tier-2 subject marks (and skill where applicable).
C. For posts without Interview/Skill Test:
- Merit list based on Tier-2 only.
D. Tie-breaking rules (as per raw text):
- If total marks equal — higher Tier-2 marks rank higher.
- If Tier-2 equal — higher qualification / higher graduation marks / older candidate ranks higher.

How to Apply?
Follow these steps exactly to complete the online application:
Step 0 — Before you start
- Keep a valid personal email ID and mobile number (active).
- Keep scanned copies ready of photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, relevant certificates (educational, caste, PwBD, experience, NOC if in service, CTET where applicable). See upload specs below.
- Decide the post(s) you want to apply for. You may apply for multiple posts but pay fee separately for each post applied (and for PGT/TGT limits internal rules apply: within PGT apply only for one subject; within TGT apply only for one subject).
- Read the official notification and ensure you meet eligibility as on 04 December 2025 (closing date).
Step 1 — Registration
- Go to the official portal: CBSE / KVS / NVS recruitment link.
- Click Apply Online → New Registration.
- Enter name, contact details, email. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and displayed. Save these credentials. An SMS / email will also be sent.
Step 2 — Fill application form
- Login using Registration Number and Password.
- Complete personal details, address, category, educational qualification, experience, post(s) selection, choice of medium (Hindi/English), choice of Modern Indian Language (for language sections).
- Indicate if you need scribe/compensatory time (PwBD), or pre-examination training (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
- Upload scanned documents (photograph, signature, left thumb, handwritten declaration, and other certificates) as per file format & size (see Section 11). Use the SAVE & NEXT option if you cannot complete in one sitting.
Step 3 — Photograph / Signature / Declaration upload
- Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and live photo capture if prompted. Follow exact pixel/size guidelines.
Step 4 — Preview & Final Submit
- Click Preview → verify all fields carefully.
- After verification, click FINAL SUBMIT. No changes will be allowed after final submission.
Step 5 — Fee payment
- Click Payment tab and pay via Debit/Credit Card / Netbanking / IMPS / Wallets.
- Wait for transaction response. Do not press back or refresh during payment.
- On successful payment, e-Receipt will be generated. Download and save the e-Receipt and take a printout of the submitted application and e-Receipt. If payment fails, login and retry.
Step 6 — Print / Save
- Take printout of Confirmation Page / Application Form. Do NOT send hard copy to CBSE/KVS/NVS. Keep copies for your records and for document verification at a later stage.
Step 7 — Admit card & examinations
- Download admit cards from the same portal when notified. Admit cards will not be sent by post. Check exam city/centre, reporting time, and required documents for the exam day.

Exam Centres, Call Letters, Biometric Verification & General Points (Key Reminders)
- Exam centres for AC/Principal/Vice-Principal: Delhi/NCR only. Others: cities listed will be decided based on applicant count. Centre allotment may change; final centre is as per admit card.
- Call letters / e-Admit Cards: Download from application login. Intimation may be sent by email/SMS. Candidates must bring admit card + original photo ID + photocopy to exam/interview.
- Biometric capture: Thumb impression and photo capture will begin from Main Examination stage; candidates must carry Aadhaar for biometric verification if required.
- No TA/DA for examinations or interviews. Selected outstation candidates called for interview may be reimbursed travel by second-class AC rail ticket (or bus fare) as per rules and on production of proof.
- No change of centre requests will be entertained.
Unfair Means, Penalties & Answer Key Display
- Any malpractice (impersonation, copying, use of prohibited devices, tampering documents, canvassing) will attract cancellation of candidature, debarment (minimum 2 years) and possible legal action.
- Answer keys and scanned OMR sheets of Tier-1/Tier-2 objective tests will be displayed on websites for a short period. Challenges accepted with processing fee
₹1,000per question (non-refundable unless challenge upheld). Final answer keys determined by subject experts; results will be declared against final keys. No challenges after results declared.
Documents to Be Produced at the Interview / Document Verification
Prepare original copies + self-attested photocopies of:
- Proof of Date of Birth (Class X mark sheet/certificate)
- Educational certificates (degrees, mark sheets) and percentage conversion proof if CGPA/grades given
- CTET / CTET (if applicable for PRT/TGT posts)
- Caste certificate (PERFORMA per notification) for SC/ST/OBC (with validity where applicable)
- PwBD certificate (PERFORMA V series) + UDID (if available)
- EWS certificate (if claiming EWS) — must be valid for FY 2025-26 (issued on/after 01-04-2025)
- Ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable)
- Experience certificates / NOC from employer (if employed)
- Photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/PAN/Driving Licence) for exam & interview
Annexures / Formats / Proforma
- PERFORMA-I (OBC certificate), PERFORMA-II (SC/ST), PERFORMA-III (EWS), PERFORMA-IV (Ex-Servicemen), PERFORMA-V series (PwBD), PROFORMA-V-D, PROFORMA-V-F etc. are part of the full notification and must be used where applicable. The OBC certificate format text included in the raw data must be followed exactly.
