Eligibility Criteria

For Headmaster/Headmistress (Junior High School)

• Academic Qualification: Graduate in any subject from a recognized university.
• Professional Qualification: B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.
• Experience:
  • 08 years of uninterrupted regular service as a Graduate Teacher.
  • 06 years of uninterrupted regular service as Headmaster/Headmistress Primary School.

For Headmaster/Headmistress (Primary School)

• Academic Qualification: Class XII passed from a recognized Board.
• Professional Qualification:
  • D.El.Ed. or a one-year TTI course recognized by NCTE.
  • Applicable for appointees prior to 03.09.2001.
• Experience: 08 years of uninterrupted regular service as a Primary Teacher.

How to Apply for SSTRB Recruitment 2025?

1. Collect the Application Form:
   • The prescribed application form is available at the SSTRB Office, Upper Syari.
2. Submit Application:
   • Submit the completed application form along with the bank receipt during office hours from 8th January 2025 to 24th January 2025.
3. Attach Documents:
   Candidates must attach attested/self-attested copies of the following: For HM JHS Candidates:
   • Marksheet and Pass Certificates of Class X & XII.
   • Graduation marksheet and pass certificate.
   • B.Ed. Marksheet and Pass Certificate recognized by NCTE.
   For HM PS Candidates:
   • Marksheet and Pass Certificates of Class X & XII.
   • D.El.Ed. or TTI course certificate recognized by NCTE.

Exam Syllabus

The written examination will include:

1. General Awareness.
2. Education Policies.
3. Government Rules and orders on school administration, including the duties and responsibilities of School Heads.
4. Sikkim Government Servants Rules from 1981, 1985, 1986 & 1974.
