About the Post

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has released an official notification (Advt. No. 18/2025) for the recruitment of 98 Dynamic Young Professionals. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these positions through the NRL official website.

NRL is currently expanding its refinery capacity from 3.0 MMTPA to 9.0 MMTPA and constructing a cross-country crude oil pipeline from Paradip (Odisha) to Numaligarh (Assam), along with a Crude Oil Import Terminal at Paradip Port. The company is also setting up a 2G Ethanol Plant and a 360 KTPA Polypropylene Plant as part of its diversification projects.

Selection Process

The selection process includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Personal Interview.

For Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET):

  • Section A: Subject Knowledge (related to qualifying degree) – 80% weightage
  • Section B: General Knowledge / Current Affairs
  • Section C: English Language
  • Section D: Reasoning & Numerical Ability

For Assistant Officer (Trainee):

  • Section A: General Knowledge + Indian and World Energy Scenario – 60% weightage
  • Section B: Reasoning and Numerical Ability
  • Section C: English Language

Additional Details:

  • All candidates claiming eligibility will be called for CBT.
  • Candidates qualifying CBT will be called for interview in a 1:5 ratio.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% in CBT and Interview separately.
  • Final selection: 85% weightage from CBT + 15% weightage from Interview.
  • Offer of appointment will depend on merit, vacancy, and medical fitness.
