About the Post

The Government of Nagaland, Office of the Director General of Police, Kohima, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of 1176 posts of Constable (GD) in the Nagaland Police Department. Applications are invited from eligible Indigenous Inhabitants (Male/Female) belonging to any Indigenous Naga Tribes of Nagaland. The recruitment will be conducted through Open Rally by the Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and District Screening Committees (DSCs) across all district headquarters. Non-indigenous applicants are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
Applicant must be an Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland belonging to any recognized Indigenous Naga Tribe.

Educational Qualification:

  • Backward Tribes: Minimum Class 6 Passed or higher.
  • Other Indigenous Naga Tribes: Minimum Class 8 Passed or higher from NBSE or any recognized board.

District Eligibility:
Candidates can apply against only one district and must appear for the rally in the same district for which they apply.
