About The Post
The Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes, Assam has released the official notification for the Assam SC Scholarship Scheme 2025–26. This centrally sponsored scheme includes Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships for SC (Scheduled Caste) students studying in Assam.

Types of Scholarships
- Pre-Matric Scholarship (Component-I):
For SC students of Class IX and X. - Pre-Matric Scholarship (Component-II):
For SC students (Class I to X) whose parents/guardians are engaged in unclean occupations. - Post-Matric Scholarship:
For SC students pursuing post-matriculation level courses (class XI onwards).

What is the last date to apply online?
The last date to apply is 30th September 2025.
Is there any income limit for eligibility?
Yes. For Component-I (Pre-Matric Class IX–X) and Post-Matric, income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh. No income limit for Component-II.
What is Component-II in the Pre-Matric scholarship?
It is for children of parents engaged in unclean occupations (e.g. manual scavenging). No income ceiling applies.
Who can apply for SC Scholarship Assam 2025?

Is Aadhaar compulsory?
