About The Post

Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Assam has issued the official notification for admission into the one-year VFA Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science for the Session 2024–2025. The training will be conducted at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H., Ghungoor, Silchar, and its extended campuses.

Interested and eligible permanent residents of Assam can apply online for the Assam VFA Training Course Admission 2025 for 200 available seats. The last date for submission of the online application is 13th July 2025.

Selection Process

Application Screening

  • Initial verification of documents for completeness

Personality Assessment Test (PAT) – 100 Marks

  • 40%: HSSLC (Science) marks
  • 20%: HSLC marks
  • 40%: Oral interview on Biology, Physics, Chemistry & General Awareness
  • Each panel member asks 5 questions; 4 marks per question

Merit Preparation

  • Combined scores create category-wise merit lists
  • Used for final selection per reservation policy
