About the Post
The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 1715 vacancies for the posts of Constable (Unarmed Branch – UB) and Constable (Armed Branch – AB) under Assam Police. Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs. 14,000–70,000/- along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5600/- and other admissible allowances as per government norms. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online, and no application fee is required for submitting the application.

Medical Examination and PST
After PET, candidates undergo Medical Examination as per the medical standards.
Upon being found medically fit, candidates appear in Physical Standard Test (PST) where height and chest (for males) are measured.
PST carries no marks , but is qualifying in nature.

Instructions for PET & PST
Admit Card must be downloaded from SLPRB website.
PET is strenuous; candidates should be medically fit.
CCTV will cover all tests; biometric and performance slips will be issued.
Applicants failing at any stage of PET/PST are immediately eliminated from further recruitment stages.
For height disputes, re-measurement request can be made the same day; decision of Selection Committee is final.

Tie candidates at the cutoff are also included.
