About the Post

The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 1715 vacancies for the posts of Constable (Unarmed Branch – UB) and Constable (Armed Branch – AB) under Assam Police. Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs. 14,000–70,000/- along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5600/- and other admissible allowances as per government norms. Medical Examination and PST

  • After PET, candidates undergo Medical Examination as per the medical standards.
  • Upon being found medically fit, candidates appear in Physical Standard Test (PST) where height and chest (for males) are measured.
  • PST carries no marks, but is qualifying in nature.

Instructions for PET & PST

  • Admit Card must be downloaded from SLPRB website.
  • PET is strenuous; candidates should be medically fit.
  • CCTV will cover all tests; biometric and performance slips will be issued.
  • Applicants failing at any stage of PET/PST are immediately eliminated from further recruitment stages.
  • For height disputes, re-measurement request can be made the same day; decision of Selection Committee is final.
