Post-wise Educational Qualification & Experience

1. Supervisor (5 Posts)

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in History / Archaeology / Anthropology / Sanskrit / Assamese / Geography / Museology or allied subjects.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in field research, heritage documentation, or cultural project coordination. (Master’s degree preferred)

2. Documentation & Conservation Expert (5 Posts)

  • Qualification: Master’s Degree in History / Sanskrit / Archaeology / Library & Information Science / Museology / Archival Studies / Art History / Chemistry.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in manuscript documentation, archival work, or cultural heritage projects.
  • Special Skill: Ability to read old Assamese, Sanskrit, or Tai-Ahom and other Tai scripts.

3. Field Investigator (40 Posts)

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in History / Sanskrit / Assamese / Anthropology / Archaeology / Folklore or related disciplines.
  • Preference: Candidates with prior fieldwork experience in cultural documentation or community-based research and willingness to travel extensively.

4. Photographer (2 Posts)

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Photography, Videography, Media Production, or Visual Communication.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in professional photography/videography in cultural or academic documentation.
  • Skills: Experience with DSLR cameras, lighting, audio gear, and post-processing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro).

5. Assistant Conservator/Preservator (2 Posts)

  • Qualification: Master’s or Diploma in Conservation, Preservation, Museology, Art Conservation, Heritage Studies, Chemistry, or Library & Information Science.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in conservation/preservation of manuscripts, documents, or artworks.
  • Preference: Hands-on experience with palm-leaf manuscripts, sanchi-pat, paper manuscripts, or indigenous materials.
