About the Admission
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has invited online applications for admission into 3-Year Diploma in Engineering & Technology courses under 26 Government Polytechnics across Assam for the academic session 2025–2026. A total of 4425 seats are available across 22 diploma programmes. From this session onward, no Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) will be conducted; admission will be based on HSLC marks in Mathematics and Science.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam. PRC is mandatory at counselling.
- Educational Qualification: Passed HSLC or equivalent in single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects; must pass both theory and practical.
- Minimum Average Marks (Math & Science):
- General/OBC/MOBC: 40%
- SC: 35%
- ST: 33%
- Age Limit: Minimum 16 years as on 31/12/2025. No upper age limit.
