About the Post

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has entrusted the National Testing Agency (NTA) with the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) since 2019.

The JEE (Main) 2026 will be held in two sessionsSession 1 (January 2026) and Session 2 (April 2026).
This examination serves as an entry for admission to Undergraduate Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) programmes in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as a qualifying test for JEE (Advanced) for admission to IITs.
Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning programmes across the country.

Age LimitThere is no age limit. However, candidates must satisfy the age criteria of the institute(s) they wish to join.

Subjects in Qualifying ExamPhysics, Mathematics, and one subject among Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject.

Examination Language

The JEE (Main) 2026 will be conducted in 13 languages:
English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

How to Apply for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1?

Interested and eligible candidates must apply online only through the official NTA JEE website. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Steps to Apply:

  2. Click on “Apply for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1”.
  3. Complete the registration with a valid email ID and mobile number.
  4. Fill in the application form with personal and educational details.
  5. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  6. Pay the application fee through online payment methods.
  7. Submit the application and download the confirmation page for future reference.
