About The Post
The State Bank of India (SBI) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for 541 posts of Probationary Officers (PO). Selection will be done through a three-phase selection process: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Psychometric Test/Interview.

Abbreviations:
- SC: Scheduled Castes, ST: Scheduled Tribes, OBC: Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS: Economically Weaker Section, UR: Unreserved, PwBD: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
- VI: Visually Impaired, HI: Hearing Impaired, LD: Locomotor Disability
- d & e#@: Mental Illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Mild), and Multiple Disabilities among LD, VI, HI, MI & ASD-M
Important Notes:
- OBC candidates must submit a non-creamy layer certificate issued between 01.04.2025 and interview date.
- EWS candidates must submit an Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-25 valid for 2025-26.
- PwBD vacancies are horizontal and applicable across categories.

Candidate must have been born between 02.04.1995 and 01.04.2004 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2025)
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates in final year/semester can apply provisionally but must produce proof of passing by 30.09.2025.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination (Online)

Exam Centers
- Online exams conducted across India (Prelims & Mains).
- No change in exam center/date/session will be allowed.
- SBI may cancel/add centers based on feasibility.
- Candidates appear at their own risk and cost.
- Any unruly behavior may result in disqualification.
Emoluments
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹48,480 (with 4 advance increments)
- Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – 85,920
- Approx. CTC at Mumbai: ₹20.43 lakhs per annum
- Eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, NPS, LFC, Medical, Lease Rental etc.
Joining, Bond & Career Progression
- Online banking course before joining.
- Bond of ₹2,00,000 to serve minimum 3 years.
- Probation of 2 years with assessments.
- Fast-tracked career growth including foreign postings for meritorious officers.

How to Apply?
- Apply Online Only at: https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings
- Dates: 24.06.2025 to 14.07.2025
- Valid email & mobile no. mandatory.
Steps:
- Register on SBI’s careers website.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
- Text for declaration:
"I, <Name>, <DOB> hereby declare that all information submitted is true and valid. I will present supporting documents when required."

- Save final application and e-receipt.
Do not send printed application form to the Bank.
Pre-Examination Training
- For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
- Conducted online.
- Opt for PET during online application.
- Call letter to be downloaded from SBI website.

- No hard copy will be sent.
- Prelims call letter will be authenticated and must be preserved for Main Exam.
Identity Verification
Bring original and self-attested photocopy of any one:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- Driving License
- Bank Passbook with Photo
- School/College ID Card
- ID card from Gazetted Officer
Must match details in the application form. Otherwise, candidate will be barred from the exam.
Biometric Verification
- SBI may capture photo/thumb impression/IRIS scan at various stages.
- Avoid applying Mehendi, ink, chemicals on fingers.
- Mismatch or manipulation may lead to cancellation and legal action.
Misconduct & Disqualification
SBI may debar candidates if found guilty of:
- Impersonation
- Use of unfair means
- False documents/information
- Use of mobile phones/electronic gadgets in exam
- Attempting influence or tamper evaluation
Candidates may also be permanently debarred from SBI exams.
