Exam Scheme
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO/MT-XV) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees in participating public sector banks. Here is the detailed breakdown of application fees, exam pattern, interview process, and related instructions.

Preliminary Examination

Descriptive paper topics may relate to economics, banking trends, ethics, etc., and could be auto-evaluated.
Personality Test (Self-Report)
- Non-qualifying but mandatory for interview eligibility.
- Personality profile will be shared with the Interview Panel.
Interview
- Weightage: Main Exam: 80%, Interview: 20%
- Total Marks: 100 (Minimum qualifying: 40% UR / 35% SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
- Conducted by participating banks and coordinated by a nodal bank.
- No request for change of venue/date will be entertained.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
- 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer in both Prelims and Mains.
- No penalty for unattempted questions.
Cut-Off & Score Calculation
- Sectional and overall cut-offs apply in Mains.
- Only Mains score considered for interview and final merit list.
- Scores normalized using equi-percentile method.
Exam Centres
- Online exams will be conducted across India.
- No request for center change will be allowed.
- IBPS reserves right to cancel/add/change centers at its discretion.
Pre-Examination Training
- May be conducted online for SC/ST/OBC/Minority candidates.
- Opt in via application form.
- No guarantee of selection by attending training.
Documents Required for Interview
Candidates must upload and produce original and self-attested copies of:
- Interview Call Letter (printout)
- Online Application Form (printout)
- Proof of DOB (Birth Certificate/SSLC/Std X)
- Valid Photo Identity Proof
- Graduation Marksheet & Certificate (result must be declared before 21.07.2025)
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in prescribed GoI format
- EWS Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if PwBD)
- No Objection Certificate (for govt/PSU employees)
- Service/Discharge Book (for Ex-Servicemen)
- Eligibility certificate (if applicable)
- Experience Certificates (if applicable)
- Scribe Declaration (if used)
- Other relevant eligibility proofs
Note: Failing to produce valid documents will result in disqualification.
