About Recruitment 2026

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), through its Flight Inspection Unit (FIU), Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi, has invited applications for hiring an NSOP Post Holder – Quality Manager / Compliance Monitoring Manager on a contractual basis.

AAI is a Schedule-A Mini Ratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India and is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in the country.

The Flight Inspection Unit of AAI operates as a Non-Scheduled Operator Permit (NSOP) holder issued by DGCA India for undertaking aerial work, including flight calibration of CNS facilities.

Eligible candidates with an engineering or relevant aviation qualification, minimum 5 years of aviation industry experience, and SMS qualification can apply for the position.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the post of Quality Manager / Compliance Monitoring Manager must satisfy the following requirements.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess an engineering degree in any of the following areas:

• Aeronautical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Avionic Engineering

The notification also permits relevant studies relating to:

• Maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft, or
• Aircraft components

The candidate should satisfy the requirements stipulated in DGCA CAR-CAMO for the position.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry in tasks related to one or more of the following:

• Aircraft maintenance
• Continuing airworthiness management
• Quality Manager / Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM)

Other Requirements

Candidates must:

• Be SMS Qualified.
• Have knowledge of DGCA regulations.
• Have knowledge of relevant legislation governing or affecting aircraft operation and maintenance.
• Possess good working knowledge of computer applications, including:

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for engagement as a consultant is 65 years.

However, the consultant may be re-engaged up to a maximum age of 70 years, subject to:

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected NSOP Post Holder will perform duties and responsibilities as prescribed under the relevant DGCA CAR and undertake other related work assigned by Airports Authority of India.

The position is associated with the quality and compliance monitoring requirements of Airports Authority of India’s Flight Inspection Unit.

The appointment will be purely contractual.

Salary & Benefits

The monthly remuneration is negotiable based on industry standards.

Allowances

Consultants will not be entitled to allowances/facilities such as:

Leave

Consultants will be eligible for 15 days of leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis.

• Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.
• Unavailed leave cannot be encashed at the end of the tenure.
• Absence beyond holidays and permissible leave will result in proportionate deduction from the consultancy fee/monthly remuneration.
• AAI reserves the right to terminate services if a consultant remains absent for more than 15 days beyond the entitled leave in a calendar year.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely on a contractual basis.
• The selected post holder will be engaged on a full-time basis.
• The selected candidate will not be permitted to undertake any other assignment during the contract period.
