Tenure of Engagement
The project is sanctioned for a period of up to three years.
The initial appointment of the selected candidate will be for:

Based on satisfactory performance during the first year, the appointment may be extended until the completion of the project.

The appointment will not provide any right to:
- Regular appointment at AIIMS Guwahati
- Permanent absorption
- Continued contractual appointment beyond the approved tenure
The contract may automatically expire on completion of the prescribed period unless renewed with mutual consent.
Either side may terminate the contractual appointment by giving:
- 30 days’ notice, or
- Salary in lieu of the notice period
