About the Post

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released the official Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2026 for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III posts. A total of 6,557 vacancies have been announced across various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) in India.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Technician Grade-I Signal	Level-5	₹29,200/-
Technician Grade-III	Level-2	₹19,900/-

Apart from the basic pay, employees will also be entitled to:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Technician Grade-I Signal

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications from a recognized University/Institution:

• B.Sc. with Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Instrumentation
• OR Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
• OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant Engineering discipline

Technician Grade-III

Candidates must have:

• Matriculation (10th Pass/SSLC)

AND

• ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade

OR

• Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the prescribed trade.

Note: Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification on or before the closing date of application.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as per the date mentioned in the official notification.

Age Relaxation

Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules:

Application Fee

Fee Refund:

• General/OBC/EWS candidates appearing in CBT will receive ₹400 refund after deducting bank charges.
• SC/ST/Female/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/EBC candidates appearing in CBT will receive a full refund of the examination fee after deducting applicable bank charges.

Selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Document Verification (DV)
3. Medical Examination (ME)
