About the Post
The Center for Personnel Talent Management (DRDO CEPTAM) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 764 vacancies for the posts of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A).

| Educational Qualification | • STA-B: B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline. • Technician-A: 10th Pass + ITI Certificate in relevant trade. • Important: Candidates with higher qualifications (M.Sc, B.Tech, Ph.D) as on 01st January 2026 are NOT Eligible. Result awaited candidates are also NOT Eligible. |

A unique fee structure applies with a refundable component.

How to Apply?
Candidates must apply online through the official website drdo.gov.in.
Step 1: Registration
- Visit
https://www.drdo.gov.in. - Click on the CEPTAM-11 Advertisement link.
- Register using your Name, Email, and Mobile Number.
- Note: One candidate can apply for only one post code.
Step 2: Application Form
- Log in and fill in personal and educational details.
- Ensure you meet the Crucial Date (01st January 2026) criteria for age and qualification.
Step 3: Upload Documents
- Upload Photograph, Signature, and Proof of Qualification/Caste in the prescribed format.
Step 4: Fee Payment
- Pay the total fee (Non-refundable + Refundable component) via Net Banking/Card/UPI.
- Note: Ex-servicemen already in civil government jobs are not eligible for fee waiver.
Step 5: Submission
- Review all details.
- Submit the form and print the confirmation page.
- Correction Window: If you make a mistake, you can correct it between 04th January 2026 and 06th January 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Can I apply if I have a B.Tech degree?
No. Candidates with higher qualifications (B.Tech, M.Sc, etc.) are strictly not eligible for these posts. You must possess only the essential qualification (Diploma/B.Sc/ITI) as on the closing date.
Is the fee refundable?
Yes, Rs. 500/- is refundable, but only if you appear for the Tier-I exam. If you do not appear, you forfeit the entire amount.
What is the Service Bond?
Selected candidates must serve a minimum of five years at their first place of posting. No transfer requests will be entertained during this period.
Can I apply for both STA-B and Tech-A?
No. The notification states that a candidate can apply for only one post code. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
What is the “Crucial Date”?
01st January 2026. All eligibility criteria (Age, Qualification, Result Declaration) are determined as of this date.
Is there a correction window?
Yes, the correction window is open from 04th January 2026 to 06th January 2026.
What if I am color blind?
Candidates with Colour Blindness or Night Blindness are not eligible and will be disqualified during the medical exam.
Where will I be posted?
Selected candidates have All India Service Liability and can be posted anywhere in India, including remote/field areas.
Can final year students apply?
No. Candidates whose results are awaited as on 01st January 2026 are not eligible.
