Apply Now – Assam Recruitment 2025 – Air Force School Tezpur: TGT English (Contractual)

The post is for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) — English on a contractual basis. Selected candidates will be appointed on contract terms as per the Education Code 2020 and the School’s policies; this is not a permanent/regular appointment.

Report to Air Force School Tezpur on 10 December 2025, at 0800 hrs. The venue is the school at Air Force Station Tezpur. Candidates should bring the filled Bio-Data and all original certificates for verification at that time.

You must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with English as an elective and at least 50% marks (and 50% aggregate). A B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized institute is mandatory. Degrees must be from a university recognized by Govt. of India/UGC/AICTE.

The age limit is 21 to 50 years as on 01 July 2025. Women and persons with disabilities get up to 5 years relaxation. Ex-servicemen can deduct their service period from actual age and may be allowed further concession as stated in the notice. Candidates who previously served in an Air Force School get age relaxation equivalent to that past service.

Bring a printed Bio-Data/application form plus original and one photocopy each of: educational certificates (degree, mark sheets), B.Ed. certificate, age proof, caste/PH/ESM certificate (if applicable), experience certificates, CTET/STET certificate (if applicable), and any other documents claimed in your Bio-Data. Carry two passport photos and a valid photo ID.

The selection will include document verification, a written test, a computer test, and a personal interview. Performance in these stages determines shortlisting and final selection. CTET/STET qualifications and relevant experience may be given additional weight.

The consolidated pay for the contractual TGT (English) post is ₹33,000 per month. Appointment terms, tenure (if any), and other service conditions will follow the School’s contract rules and Education Code 2020; further details will be provided to selected candidates at the time of offer.

Along with filling the immediate vacancy, the School may empanel suitable candidates for future contractual vacancies. Being empanelled does not guarantee immediate appointment; it means you remain in a list of approved candidates to be contacted when a vacancy arises.

Prior teaching experience is desirable but not strictly mandatory unless stated otherwise. Experience as PGT/TGT/PRT/NTT in recognized schools — especially in Air Force Schools — will be considered and may give additional weight or age relaxation as specified in the notice.
