About the Post

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong invites applications for contractual positions under the ICMR-funded Extramural Research Project titled “Centre for Advanced Research on Addictive Behaviors (CAR-AB)”.

This project focuses on delivering evidence-based interventions for problematic use of technology (smartphone, gaming, social media, gambling, screen time) and associated stress, depression, anxiety, and addiction.

The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, and selected candidates will have no claim for regular employment at NEIGRIHMS.

General Terms and Conditions

• Appointment is purely contractual; initial duration 3 months, extendable based on performance. First phase duration is 6 months.
• Total project duration: 5 years, subject to IEC approval for further studies.
• Candidates must be able to read and write Khasi for fieldwork in Shillong.
• Relevant experience from government or reputed national/international organizations will be considered.
• Employment may be terminated at any time if performance is unsatisfactory.
• Selected candidates must join within 7 days of result declaration.
• Submission of false information will lead to disqualification.
• No claim for regular positions at NEIGRIHMS.

1. Eligible candidates should appear in person for the Walk-in Interview on 28 October 2025 at the Department of Community Medicine, 4th Floor, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
2. Registration is from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The Interview starts at 12:00 Noon.
3. Bring all original certificates, one set of self-attested copies, and a recent passport-size photograph.
4. Read the official notification carefully before attending the interview.
5. Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should attend.
6. TA/DA will not be provided.
