Essential Educational Qualification	MD/MS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC OR MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC with MPH OR Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences or MBBS with Ph.D. in a relevant subject
Essential Experience	Minimum 15 years of Research & Development (R&D) experience in Biomedical Sciences, including: • 5 years in a managerial or research leadership position • 2 years of regular service in Level-13A OR 7 years in Level-13 of the Pay Matrix
Desirable Qualification	Proven track record of leading research groups, institutes, or major projects as Principal Investigator
Tenure	5 years, extendable by 5 years or till superannuation
Maximum Age Limit	Not exceeding 58 years as on 03 November 2025

For Deputation / Absorption

Particulars	Details
Eligibility	Scientists from Central/State Governments, recognized autonomous organizations, or universities holding analogous posts on regular basis OR possessing the same essential qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits
Tenure	5 years (extendable up to 10 years if absorbed in ICMR)
