About The Post
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the detailed notification for the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) 2025 recruitment. The examination will be conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India.
This post explains the eligibility, application procedure, document verification, post preference rules, mode of selection, and important candidate instructions in a structured manner.
Document Verification (DV)
Document Verification will be conducted after the declaration of the final result by the respective User Departments/Organizations.
Key Points:
- SSC only recommends candidates based on merit and preferences. It is not involved in deciding the number of vacancies or reservation distribution.
- Once SSC declares the final result and sends dossiers to the departments, no User Department can reject dossiers due to unavailability of horizontal category candidates.
- SSC confirms vacancies before declaring results. Departments must accept the nominations.
- If a department is dissolved or merged, the successor must accept the dossiers.
Proposed Sliding Scheme:
SSC is considering a post-allotment sliding scheme (subject to Govt. approval) to fill unfilled vacancies post-DV through an extended cut-off.

2 | Educational Qualification Certificate |
3 | Experience Certificate (if applicable) |

9 | Name Change Documents (Marriage/Divorce/Gazette Notification) |

Post Preferences
- Candidates must submit post preferences online before final results.
- Preferences once submitted cannot be changed.
- Those who fail to submit preferences will not be considered for final selection.
- Posts like JE in BRO have strict medical/physical eligibility—failing these may lead to rejection without further consideration.
Mode of Selection

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Paper-I & II) | UR: 30%, OBC/EWS: 25%, Others: 20% |
